SSG & friends had the opportunity to tour the New Dallas Cowboys Stadium. It's got a great big Texas feel - modern design with glass all around to let in the Texas sunshine and keep out the heat.
There is a gigantic video screen that floats above the center of the field - the largest LCD screen in the world. There are huge glass windows from ground to cleiling that can open up to let in air during nice Fall days. The suites throughout the stadium are lavish with big leather seats and glass windows that open to the field.
FUNNY STORY:
On the day of our tour, it turned out that it was also Flush-A-Palooza Day. The stadium had hundreds of volunteers coming out to flush all the toilets in the stadium at the same time to make sure they work. There were guards directing visitors in through the gates - and some of our tour members got misdirected to the Flush-A-Palooza, which by the way had no signage.
Not knowing about this mix-up, we were calling our missing tour members to find out where they were and they said, don't worry we're already inside on our tour. What they didn't know is that in a couple of minutes they were going to be assigned to a restroom and told that these are your toilets to flush! Needless to say Steve Steinheimer got a few interesting phone calls from our tour members.
We had a lot of laughs about this and everyone was a great sport about the mix up.
