SSG Culture Means Giving Back to the Community
The SSG team works with a number of organizations to help bring about positive change in the community. SSG employees have donated hundreds of volunteer hours to these causes. SSG is proud of our team and of our association with these organizations.
Habitat for Humanity International
Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. SSG employees have volunteered with two Habitat house builds in Garland, Texas over multiple weekends.
Girls on the Run®
Girls on the Run® is a non-profit prevention program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. President and CEO Steven Steinheimer is on the Board of Advisors and SSG has sponsored the annual Girls on the Run® 5k run.
The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is a charitable and religious organization to evangelize and to care for the poor and homeless. It has become an SSG tradition for our employees and friends to help sort gifts in Dallas for the annual Angel Tree Holiday Program. December 2015 marked SSG’s 16th year to volunteer for the Angel Tree gift sorting.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving
The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking. Donations from SSG help fund programs to build awareness and prevent injuries.
North Texas Food Bank
The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a nonprofit hunger relief organization that distributes donated, purchased and prepared foods through a network of feeding programs in 13 North Texas counties. Food drives are held at the SSG office seasonally, in addition to company-organized online food drives that allow our entire network to participate in the donations.
Winners for Life
The Winners for Life Foundation was established in 2001 to inspire, encourage and guide at-risk teenagers and help them set goals in life. SSG has sponsored multiple scholarships to teenagers that otherwise lack the resources to pursue an education.
