BPM Consultant

 
Position Overview:
 
SSG Ltd., a software professional services firm specializing in solving complex problems with business-critical applications, is seeking a Business Process Management (BPM) Consultant that has a minimum of 4 years of experience in a software implementation environment and solid java, J2EE technical skills. Design and implement state of the art solutions applying one of the most advanced BPM Suites available in the industry. This position requires the willingness and ability to travel 40-80% of the year, as well as the consulting, technical and communication skills needed to develop unique software solutions for our clients.
 
Qualifications:
(Mandatory)
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent degree; or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a software implementation environment
  • Recent experience with J2EE and related technologies (EJB, JSF, Ajax, JNDI, JMS, JPA/Hibernate, web services and packaging/deployment of components)
  • Minimum 2 years of implementation experience using a J2EE compliant application server (e.g., WebLogic)
  • Demonstrable experience with at least one of the market leading Data Base products (e.g. Oracle, DB/2, MS SQL Server)
  • Demonstrable experience with Identity Management technologies (LDAP, MSAD)
  • Proficient in UNIX and Windows OS
  • Working knowledge of at least one source control tool (CVS, Subversion, etc.)
  • Ability to rapidly learn new programming concepts and techniques
  • Advanced communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely express original thoughts and opinions
  • U.S. citizens or otherwise presently authorized to work full-time in the U.S.
  • Able to pass a background check
(Desired)
  • Demonstrable experience with Oracle’s Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) suite
  • Experience with Oracle’s Application Development Framework (ADF)
  • Demonstrable experience in process design or process re-engineering
  • Hands-on proficiency with UML use case and sequence diagram design tools
  • Previous exposure to iterative development methodology
 
Activities:
  • Work with clients to understand their business process issues and correlate those issues to the proposed solution’s design requirements
  • Model proposed solutions using Business Process Modeling techniques and standard process notation
  • Implement those solutions using components of a service oriented architecture (SOA) platform
  • Take direction from a BPM architect regarding the implementation of proposed solutions, as required; offer alternative design approaches based upon experience
  • Work comfortably on a variety of platforms: Windows, UNIX, Linux, etc.
  • Deliver quality code in a timely manner that fulfills solution requirements
  • Test delivered code to ensure quality and functional completeness
  • Participate in peer code reviews
  • Participate in technical project reviews
  • Identify product improvements and communicate them appropriately
