2010 WildRide! Against Cancer Raises $100,000
2010 WildRide! Against Cancer & 5K Trail Walk a Big Success
More than 1,500 cyclists from across North Texas joined together for the 7th annual WildRide! Against Cancer on Saturday, May 15 raising over $100,000 for the The Methodist Richardson Cancer Center's Lance Artmstrong Shaped Beam Surgery™ program.
The program is a revolutionary, noninvasive treatment method that allows physicians to treat tumors with high-dose radiation while minimizing harm to the surrounding healthy tissue. SSG sponsored and provided volunteers for Rest Stop 1, and was proud to help support this worthy cause!
Dear Wonderful Volunteers,
Thanks to your donated time and energy, Rest Stop One for the WildRide against Cancer & 5K Walk went smoothly. Your energy and fun attitude is greatly appreciated by the riders. Paul Voss, Captain of RS 1, stated that you were the best group of volunteers he has had since he started running the rest stop 7 years ago. WOW!!!
Many of you know that this cause is near and dear to my heart. I do all the hours of work to pay back for the wonderful treatment my sister receives in Delaware at her Cancer Center. I so appreciate your support of the fight against cancer. The Rest Stop could not happen without your valuable help. Thank you, thank you and thank you!!!
In appreciation and thanks,
Kathy and the WildRide Committee
